Intermediate education in Zawiya and its efficiency (a study in the geography of services)

Abstract

This research is interested in identifying the middle education’s 
development, drawing a chart for distributing this service. Reasons of 
selecting this research are exposed, exposing its objectives and the 
followed methods and approaches as well. In addition, the research drives 
at identifying how efficient the middle education services and the 
problem this sector is suffering from. The current performance ‘s level of 
the service is measured through a group of local planning standards; 
focusing on the geographical distribution of population, schools and 
institutes added to that, the distribution of students, classrooms, and 
teachers. A set of standards that evaluate educational services are 
examined and the research has come to a group of results which most 
important is that the drop-out rates have been high for several reasons 
besides that this kind of education requires much concern and support by 
the competent authorities, providing concrete and human potentials, and 
raising the level of efficiency to be able to perform their role optimally. 
Regarding the recommendations, the research indicates that one of the 
most important recommendations is to combat the phenomenon of drop-
out and increase rates of enrollment in this type of education.
