Abstract

This research aimed to observe the similarities, differences and diversity in discourse analysis between text grammar and cognitive grammar, which through a qualitative compare, based on some of the original works of the two theories. The results of the research showed a relationship between both grammars, with some differences, but this has been ignored by many cognitive linguists.
