Childhood abuse experiences as predictive variables for depression in adolescents

Abstract

The research aimed at both investigating the role of Childhood abuse experiences(physical-psychological-sexual) in predicting of Depression during adolescence, and identifying the variation of Depression according to gender difference for adolescents. . (90) adolescents were randomly selected as a research sample. The researcher administered a scale for identifying childhood abuse experiences, a scale for Depression. The findings indicated that childhood abuse experiences(physical-psychological-sexual) predict the emergence of Depression during adolescence , and differences were statistically significant on the scale of depression in favor of females.
