Summary Children were an important part of the life of Byzantine society.This study dealt with education, which was one of the important pillars on which the state relied.People who wanted to work in the state's official departments were the gateway through which they crossed to reach these positions and senior positions in the state. As much as the education of the person was getting a good job and can assume a position befitting his educational and cultural achievement. The education of children in the early stages of the burden falls on the family where the mother or father or one of the elder siblings task of teaching the child the principles of reading and writing, then he can attend primary school.
