Abstract

irst: The problem of the study: The present study sought to identify what Social initiatives and their role in developing women's entrepreneurship by a case study of "The Egyptian woman initiative" as one of social initiatives, and its role in supporting and empowering women as entrepreneurs in small and micro industrial projects, in small handicrafts (leather products, sewing and detailing, furniture renovation, jewelry, cosmetics and skin care). it took from the Social Gender, the personal characteristics, and Schumpeter's of economic growth theories are the basic theoretical approaches to the study. Second: The objectives of the study: 1. Defining what Social initiatives are. 2 - Definition of the initiative of the Egyptian woman (field of study) and the date of origin and the most important achievements. 3. Disclose the motives for joining the Initiative and the personal characteristics of the Initiative's owner. 4. Monitoring the indicators of economic and social empowerment of women entrepreneurs. 5. To reveal the most important social challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in the Egyptian society. Third: Results and Recommendations: 1. The importance of social initiatives as a basic mechanism for the empowerment of women economically, professionally and socially, through the development of their skills and professional capacity and creativity. 2 - The women entrepreneurs have a number of personal qualities which, as creative thinking and clarity of goals, and the ability to Continuous creativity and intelligence and ability to solve problems, take responsibility and continuous follow-up of many tasks, communicate with others 3 - The motivations of women's entrepreneurial work were: to occupy free time, overcome loneliness and boredom, make friendships and social relations, get rid of the pressure of job work and the inability to reconcile the stereotypical roles of women with professional roles, the desire to learn new skills and gain experience in certain areas, as مجلة البحث العلمي في اآلداب العدد العشرون لسنة 2019 الجزء السابع 140 well as love Artistic work and the desire to work, in addition to job instability and the inability to reconcile the functions of the job work with the traditional roles of women, 4 - The challenges are faced by women in entrepreneurship, the low level of knowledge with regard to marketing and dealing with customers, and some cases referred to competition in the labor market as one of the challenges faced, but the vast majority stressed that competition is a motivating motivation for them Drives them to be more creative and innovative in the field of work. 5. The present study recommended that government agencies, academic institutions, civil society organizations and businessmen should be given attention in order to encourage and promote social initiatives and the need to include them in sustainable development plans.
