Abstract

The study of spatial distribution of urban is one of the most important elements of the study in urban geography in particular, human geography in general; essential in order to analyze and track the of this distribution, and highlights the importance of distribution in settlement geography to know the pattern of proliferation and spacing and concentration of stores urban as well as forms and themes and trends Urban growth. And this research study the trends and patterns of urban growth and urban in the Elsharkia Province, using the techniques of Remote Sensing, GIS and concluded that the urban growth of the cities of the Elsharkia Province was not balanced or uneven, as most urban sprawl during the study period (1935-2015m) in ranges trends scale North directions (north direction, north east direction and north-west direction) and also followed by the south-west direction. Urban, urban growth is also taking several forms, and divided the trends of urban growth in the cities of the study to the different growth patterns during the study period, which was characterized by some cities to grow in one direction, such as the city of Zagazig City that have grown in the western direction, while other cities  growth in dual-direction, such as Faqous City which has grown in the north-west and north direction. Some cities also growth in a three directions pattern like Hehia city that has grown in the north-east and south-east and south direction. Finally, some cities have grown round growth in almost all directions like Alqnayat cities.
