Abstract

The study of urban growth by using new techniques and of remote sensing and visualization of satellite and geographic information systems for geo-physical features of the cities, and describes the physical pattern and intensity and the amount of urban additions during the stages of growth, as cities grow and expand urban result of many decisions of individual and collective and government, it is behind so many geographical factors and non-geographic, which considered urban growth horizontal one of urban growth dimensions, when compared to the more from the map of any city, this growth which followed the current study, hence examines urban growth during the study urban cluster & urban horizontal. This is clearly evident in the current study of this research monitoring cities study over 80 years of 1935 and 2015 growing mass of urban horizontal urban growth maps, it varied every city from the other as the total urban area of ​​the cities of the Elsharkia Province of 13976.23 acres  or a 58.7 km 2 2015, as inter Urban additions reached during the past 80 years from 1935 to 2015 approximately 12,422.32 acres or a 52.2 km 2, and an average of 155.28 acres annual increase of 0.7 km2.
