Factors for building a house of sound relations in the Saudi environment and its role in reducing divorce

Abstract

      The current study aimed to identify the most important factors necessary to build a house of sound relationships in the Saudi environment and to determine the level of their role in reducing divorce, and to find out whether there are statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample towards the factors of building a house of sound relations in the Saudi environment and its role in reducing divorce attributable to For demographic variables (gender - place of residence - place of work - age - duration of marriage - number of children - economic situation). Using the sample social survey approach, the study population consisted of all couples (males and females) In all areas of Riyadh. The total number of the study sample reached (800) individuals distributed equally. The healthy relationship house building scale was also applied. Divorce came in first place, and its most important indicators: the husband/wife’s interest in medical examination before marriage, followed by the economic factor and the factor of raising children, and their most important indicators are the ability to manage the family’s needs, and avoiding quarrels between husband and wife in front of the children so that this does not affect their psychological and emotional state: and the factor of raising children. In the second and third ranks, followed by the social factor and the religious factor in the fourth and fifth ranks, the scientific or cultural factor came in sixth place, and in seventh place came the psychological factor.
