The Study aimed to describe the characteristics of the cognitive-behavioral profile of children with hyperlexia, and to explain the differences in the characteristics of the cognitive-behavioral profile between children with autism spectrum disorder with hyperlexia and normal children. Sample consisted of 16 children (8) from autism spectrum disorder with hyperlexia and (8) from normal children {who were (6-7 years old), with an average of (6.50) standard deviation (0.535). Tools included; The Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale, the fifth Edition, the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale, the third Edition, and the Hyperlexia Diagnostic Scale. Results revealed significant differences between the ranks of children with autism spectrum disorder and the ranks of normal children in intelligence, verbal intelligence, the domain of knowledge, visual-spatial processing, and working memory. Results also showed significant of the differences between the ranks of children with autism spectrum disorder with Hyperlexia, and the ranks of normal children in the total score of adaptive behavior, the domain of communication, and socialization skills. Furthermore Results also revealed the significance of the differences between the ranks children with autism spectrum disorder, and the ranks of normal children in the total score of hyperlexia and the auditory sentence comprehension, Understanding the visual sentence, understanding the sequence of events, and understanding the story. Study recommends the importance of investing in the ability of hyperlexic children to read early, in acquiring verbal and reading comprehension skills, and relying on it as an alternative developmental approach.
