Abstract

Contemplation is a human trait and an innate tendency in humans, and this characteristic is prominent among poets. The poet carries the fruit of his thinking and contemplation, and broadcasts his thoughts and opinions. The phenomenon of contemplation is one of the important phenomena that has emerged in modern Urdu poetry. It was strikingly evident in the contemporary Urdu poet Naseer Ahmad Nasir. This research aims to shed light on verses from the collection of poems (Pani Mi Khum Khawab - The Lost Dream in Water) by Nasir Ahmed Nasir in order to reveal the poetics of contemplation in them. The study was applied to a number of twenty-six Poems, and the research is divided into three main elements that address the topics of contemplation of the Poems- the subject of the study - and their most important features, and how the poet highlighted them through his art and the various tools of expression he possesses of words, imagination, and artistic images, which are represented in contemplation Life with its different human vocabulary and meanings, his own philosophy of looking at it, human conditions in society, and the scenes of nature and its various manifestations.
