Criminal protection of the rights of persons with disabilities between the constitution and the law

Abstract

The research paper seeks to try to identify the frameworks for criminal protection of the rights of persons with disabilities in the Egyptian Constitution and legislation, by monitoring the constitutional principles contained in the Egyptian Constitution issued in 2014 as well as the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Law No. 10 of 2018. It has been shown through the research paper that there are many Protection frameworks, especially in the areas of equality and non-discrimination, full equality in legal positions, legal protection before public and judicial authorities, legal protection against torture, exploitation, assault and inhumane treatment, protection of persons with disabilities from exposure to danger, neglect or abuse, as well as criminal treatment of accused persons. People with disabilities in the stages of criminal proceedings.
