Arabic heritage dictionaries processed via websites Research from user perspective

Abstract

This research presents a descriptive and analytical study of eleven texts from Arabic heritage dictionaries processed through seven websites. The research aims to clarify the User perspective in all its aspects. The research consists of an introduction and two sections. The introduction includes the types of lexical websites, previous studies of electronic dictionary and research terms. The first section explains the impact of the electronic transmission on Arabic heritage dictionaries by classifying their types and explaining the origins of its editions. The second section explains the impact of processing on the MACROSTRUCTURE and MICROSTRUCTURE (Lemmas- Definitions). The most important research results are: Fill some of the gap with the Arabic lexical lesson on the electronic Arabic dictionary. Users are divided into: Specialized users (Linguists- Lexical investigators) who go to the electronic library and Non-specialized users who go to the electronic dictionary. Some defects appeared on the websites: Poor search, Confirmed results disappear, Linguistic errors in definitions and not providing the possibility of automated voice pronunciation. Dictionaries are exposed to danger on websites: Ignore its printed originals, Distortion of structures and Attempts to develop and update dictionaries.
