Abstract

Artificial intelligence is a kind of change that should not be seen as inevitable, as it differs from any other technology developed by humanity before, considering both its positive and negative effects. The aim of this study was to identify the applications of artificial intelligence in terms of concept, types, and emergence, and to determine the most important applications, characteristics, and uses, and the different impacts of its applications, as well as to identify the problems resulting from it and its future. The study relied on the socio- anthropological approach, the descriptive-analytical method, the theory of worldviews, and the cognitive theory. The study concluded that there is experience in the use of artificial intelligence applications and there is a rejection of applications that use images of deceased individuals to create content on social media, as well as placing the voices of deceased singers on modern songs. These applications have affected intellectual property rights, educational, creative, and scientific research. As it will affect the job market and there is fear that some employees may lose their jobs in the future. Artificial intelligence applications have positive effects in improving quality in various fields, but they also have negative effects such as concerns about privacy and security. If the social drawbacks of artificial intelligence continue to be ignored, it may pose a significant danger to humanity as artificial intelligence may become smarter than humans, so laws must be put in place to regulate its development.
