Social exclusion of the crime of consensual indecent assault “The Children’s Prosecution Office in Cairo is a model”

The current study aimed to shed light on the crime of consensual indecent assault, in terms of identifying the social characteristics of children (victims and perpetrators) of this type of honor crimes, its forms, causes, the person reporting it, the reasons for submitting a report and filing a lawsuit, the methods of committing it, and finally revealing the role of the child’s prosecution. in Cairo to investigate and act on these types of crimes, as an attempt to analyze and explain them in light of the theory of rational choice and the theory of routine activities. The field study was based on interviewing some members of the Children’s Prosecution in Cairo and its employees, the number of whom was (8), in addition to a content analysis of some criminal cases, the number of which was (9) cases in the time period from (2021: 2023). The study reached several results, the most important of which are: Sexual penetration, the loss of virginity that may result from it, and illegitimate pregnancy are among the most common forms of the crime of indecent assault in the criminal cases studied, and perhaps this may be due to the violent rebellion that characterizes the adolescence stage. towards the opposite sex, and the effects of instincts and impulsiveness in sexual relations without realizing the consequences of matters, especially in the absence of family supervision and follow-up.
