Abstract

This study deals with the theme of Knowledge in the autobiography of Abdel Hamid Ibrahim (1935-2013), "Evidences and scenes".
The study assumes that an autobiographical narrative discourse includes the entire knowledge life of its author, especially literary autobiographies.
Abdel Hamid Ibrahim is a literary author, who writes short stories, and has his own critical project. Therefore, his autobiography is a form of writing that integrates aesthetic and mental experience.
The study focuses on the experience of life and investigates several questions, each one of them constitutes a part of the discussion.
The study includes some points such as: The title of the Autobiography - Means of Knowledge: Sensory, Mental, and Intuitive - Discourse and Knowledge -Structural Form and the Critic's Project.
The study makes use of the thematic analysis in literary criticism, starting with selecting the main issue in the author's autobiography, which is the theme of knowledge. So, the study also makes use of Epistemology.
