An Inter-semiotic Eco-Version of the Qur'an Based on Michael Cronin's Eco-Translation Theory

Abstract
This research attempts to provide a suggested application Michael Cronin's pioneering insights of eco-translation theory (2017) to present the Qur'anic story of man and nature in a creative and attractive form. The researcher provides first a brief summary of the five chapters of Michael Cronin's book Eco-Translation: Translation and Ecology in the Age of the Anthropocene (2017). Then, the researcher highlights those parts that can be applied on retranslating the relation between man and nature in the holy Qur'an and introducing it in a creative form. She explains that a competent eco-translation according to Cronin must be resilient, legible, attractive, visible, creative, inter-semiotic, and flexible. She recommends applying those characteristics to provide a simplified inter-semiotic eco-version of the holy Qur'an that can be more attractive and more suitable for the challenges of the present time. Finally, the researcher introduces a sketch of an inter-semiotic eco-version of the holy Qur'an as a model of application suggested for more research and revision.
