Translation of poetry is not less creative than the poetry itself; Because the translator should establish relations parallel to the relations established by the poet in his original language. Thus, The translated text can be considered as a parallel creative text, Then we find that semantic substitution is among the most important relations that link meanings in creative texts, and that the translator should establish relations that commensurate with the semantic relations established by the poet in the original text according to the lexical structure in his language. Thus, the importance of studying semantic substitution (such as synonym and antonym etc.) appears in translating the opening of the “The Store of Secrets” into Azerbaijani to reveal the aspects of the substitution relations in Azerbaijani by using structural approach. The research is divided into Three chapters: The first chapter: an overview of semantic substitution. The second chapter: semantic substitution in talking about God and man in the text. The third chapter: semantic substitution in talking about the universe in the text.
