Abstract
This paper entitled "The Verbs of Ability in the Holy Qur'an: A Study in morphological structures and their Denotations," reveals the significance of the study, the various denotations of the forms, and applying that to the verbs of ability mentioned in the Holy Qur'an. Undoubtedly, the language of the Holy Qur'an is accurate, inimitable and clear even in the letter choice: the denotation of the past form of the verb differs from that of the present form; using the active voice is different from the passive voice and agent noun is dissimilar to patient noun. Because of the importance of the study of the morphological structures, this paper aims to discuss the different morphological structures in the verbs of ability in the Holy Qur'an and their denotations. The researcher has divided it according to its grammatical topics, following the inductive analytical approach.
