The Argumentative Speech in the Writings of Quranic Miracle Scholars in the Fourth and Fifth Centuries AH

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the rhetorical and critical participation of Quranic miracle scholars in their writings theoretically and practically, manifestations of the relation of miraculous blog with argumentation as an axis upon which it is based. This study adopted the inductive approach to gather the most important argumentative techniques and styles of the blog. It also adopted the elements of the pragmatic approach according to the sections of the study. It tackled the theoretical approach to study terms (argumentation and pragmatics), handled the levels of pragmatics in the argumentative letter of Quranic miracle scholars, the linguistic argumentation, and the rhetorical argumentation at the level of word, structure, and image. The results showed emergence of rhetorical argumentative language adopted by I'jaz scholars to be followed as an example, approaching between the structure of argumentation in the blog of I'jaz scholars and the structures of argumentation in the modern linguistic lesson despite being different in handling mechanism and operation foci. So, we find that it is in totality an answer and explanation to every scholar's opinion concerning the issue of wondering about the fact of I'jaz in the Noble Quran around which their words revolve.
