Improving the quality of urban life as an entry point to achieve sustainable development in new cities New Assiut city as a model

 Abstract :
    This study aimed to identify the level of satisfaction with the quality of urban life and the level of satisfaction with achieving sustainable development dimensions in the new Assiut city from the viewpoint of the research sample, and it relied on the descriptive analytical method and the social survey method, and used the quality of urban life scale and the sustainable development scale in collecting field data . This research was applied to a simple random sample of (400) individual from the new Assiut city. The results of the research found that there is an average level of satisfaction among the individuals of the research sample for the quality of urban life in the new Assiut city, and that there is an average level of satisfaction among the individuals of the research sample for achieving  sustainable development dimensions in the new Assiut city, and the results revealed that there are Statistically significant differences between the mean scores of  the sample individuals about the extent of satisfaction with the quality of urban life in the new Assiut city in favor of residents in economical housing, and that there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the sample individuals about the extent of satisfaction with achieving sustainable development dimensions in the new Assiut city, in favor of residents in luxury housing. Finally, the results showed that there is a positive correlation relationship statistically significant between the level of satisfaction  with the quality of urban life and the level of availability of sustainable development dimensions in the new Assiut city from the viewpoint of the individuals in the research sample.
