The social and cultural factors associated with the spread of the new Corona virus (a field study on different segments of the Egyptian society)

Abstract

Abstract
          The research aims to identify the social and cultural factors associated with the spread of the emerging corona virus, the sample of the research consisted of (130) male and female cases. Data collected from Masr el gedida district(upscale) and Gizera Mohamed district (popular), The research belongs to descriptive research using the social survey method by applying a questionnaire to detect social and cultural factors associated with the spread of the new Corona virus, The form included several axes, which are preliminary data on the individuals of the sample, the social dimension, the cultural dimension, health and preventive measures, precautionary measures, and entertainment in light of the Corona crisis,
By use  the following theories (functional constructivist theory, self-discipline theory, socio-psychological perspective), The research reached a set of results, the most important of which are differences between the sample responses to questions of the social dimension, the cultural dimension, after health and precautionary measures, after entertainment, after psychological effects, the presence of differences between the study sample for the dimensions of the questionnaire in terms of (qualification - place of residence - the work)
          Although there are differences between the sample members according to the qualification, work, type, and place of residence, it was noticed that no different segments of the Egyptian society were aware of the seriousness of the new Corona virus and the effect of social and cultural factors represented in customs, traditions and interconnections between members of the community and Especially the popular district on the spread of the virus.
