Arabic Language Learning Strategies for English Speaking Students: An Applied Study

Abstract

This research deals with the subject of language learning strategies, and it is one of the topics that applied applied scientific research did not address much in the teaching of the Arabic language, as most of the scientific efforts are focused on researching the problems of education without learning.
 
Knowing the learning strategies that students follow in learning new experiences and knowledge is one of the important fields that applied linguistics researches, and when a second or foreign language learner could focus on learning strategies based on his previous experience in learning a mother or a second language.
This research aims to know these strategies in order to benefit from them in visualizing how the curriculum for this group of Arabic language learners is designed. This research is applied research that contributes to learning about the problems of language learning and teaching and tries to provide recommendations and proposals with a view to overcoming them, and it targets a broad cross section of English speaking students who learn Arabic as a second language.
