Lexical Attrition in the Egyptian EFL University Setting

تحاول الدراسة الحالية استکشاف کيفية حدوث الاستنزاف اللفظي في حالة متعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية کلغة أجنبية على المستوى الجامعي. تکونت عينة الدراسة من 88 طالبة مصرية من کلية التربية جامعة الإسکندرية بمصر. الطريقة المعتمدة هي طريقة طولية ، حيث تتم مقارنة نتائج الاختبارات السابقة واللاحقة للهجاء والنطق والمعنى. کشفت نتائج الدراسة عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجات الاستبقاء الإملائي والمعنى في کل من نتائج الاختبار القبلي والبعدي لنفس المجموعة. ومع ذلک ، لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في درجات الاحتفاظ بالنطق في کل من نتائج الاختبار القبلي والبعدي لنفس المجموعة. وخلصت الدراسة أيضًا إلى أن قواعد الإملاء ليست أکثر مرونة من المعنى ، وأن المقابلات السهلة ذات المعنى الصوتي المحفوظة في الذاکرة التقريرية عرضة للتداخل من نظائرها اللفظيةداخل اللغة السائدة. علاوة على ذلک ، يحتوي المعجم العقلي على الصوتيات ، ليس فقط في شکل القدرات المتأصلة والانتقائية ، ولکن أيضًا بسبب شيوعه کمستودع للأصوات الإنشائية والعمليات الصوتية الثابتة.
